How are Canvas grades synced to Studentvue?

Do teacher sync all at the same time or do they select certain assignments? Asking because DD has multiple classes where multiple assignments aren't showing up on Studentvue but you can see them on Canvas.

Truly a ridonc system! Either grades should show up or they shouldnt. Grades is as bad as the remind communication on top of teachers sending out comm via synergy..poor teachers.

We have to sync them manually. Works most of the time but if even one thing is off like the due date not being correct because it's a semester class, the number of points doesn't match the Google assignment, or it was imported from a previous semester, etc... it could not show up in StudentVue and you're stuck trouble shooting. Some of us sync weekly, some prefer to wait until everyone has submitted so you don't have to do it multiple times, depends.

You have to manually type out the information for each assignment in two or three places? Canvas first and Google assignments if it's a Google assignment and then have it match up in Studentvue?

Why aren't the tech people fixing these huge issues instead of creating ugly 1980s style dot matrix icons that don't even fit on a normal laptop or mobile screen?

This last Synergy update has made things so much worse. It seems to be taking much longer to sync. I have always had issues if one or two students turn in something late and I try to get those grades to sync. Synergy doesn't seem to like that and even though Canvas says it was sync, those grades don't show up in Synergy. I have to really keep track of those assignments to make sure they eventually sync, or I end up entering them manually. When all else fails, I resort to 'remaster passbook'. That usually gets things to sync.

This is one of the time consuming aspects of our job. It isn't just a matter of entering grades in Canvas and hitting a button. Some days it works great, others I have to come back over and over to check and make sure that those individual grades actually made it over. I am constantly checking that the grades in Canvas match the grades in Synergy.

You enter the points into Canvas first but when you add the Google assignment, Google Assignments has a default of 100 points, you have to make sure you're changing it to match,
