I normally do mine on Wednesday mornings. I have been losing extremely slowly, 10lbs so far in 2 months. I do only have arguably 30lbs to lose so there's that. I decided to do evening instead of morning yesterday and today I lost a pound, I look unbloated. Do you think timing can have that much of an impact? |
I take mine in the morning. I did not start to really lose weight until the 3rd month. I too only lost 10 pounds in the first 2 months. I literally lost 8 in the third month. I am down 18 pounds now. I'm at my goal so I am weaning. |
So maybe I will start losing a little more now and that is what is happening? That is really good to hear actually! |
No. I usually do it at night, but I’ve done both and it doesn’t make a difference. You’re just a little less bloated today, that’s great but not really weight loss. |
A 10 pound weight loss in 2 months is great! These meds are pretty amazing, but they are not magic.
If you are only 2 months in, you are probably on 0.5 or 1.0. Those are still low-ish doses, and they are designed to titrate you to therapeutic doses safely. If/when you move to higher doses, you may lose more quickly. But 10 pounds in 2 months is just over a pound a week, which is a good rate! |
I take mine at night so that if it makes me feel lousy I’ll be asleep when that happens. Weight loss has been steady and good but not rocket-ship fast. I put some weight back on during a several month supply dry up when I had to switch back to a less effective medicine. Having resumed at 1 mg I seem to be holding steady but with what looks like a slow trend back down. I could probably improve that with more careful eating. 2 mg did not seem to increase weight loss amount or speed, but side effects were much worse. Antidiabetic effects are great. |
You went on a semaglutide for 18 pounds? |
I had the same question. Your target was losing 18 pounds? |
I thought a pound a week was a suggested goal for weight loss. What am I misunderstanding? |
People with less weight to lose will lose more slowly. |
0.5 to 2 pounds per week is a healthy range for weight loss. |
There's no world where 10 pounds in 2 months is extremely slow weight loss |
