Food, Cooking, and Restaurants
| We want to take our little ones out tonight and still have a good meal. We prefer Gtown for the ambiance but will try anything with good food and ambiance (preferably outdoors). Any suggestions? Our kids are 2 & 5 but very comfortable eating out. |

I really like Il Canale for amazing thin crust pizzas. They have a rooftop deck, too.
Also Farmers & Fishers in the harbor - but avoid the other places down there. They have outdoor seating near the fountain. Dessert at G'town Cupcake! |

Ive gone to Peacock Cafe as well as La Ruche with our four & seven year-olds...Sweetgreen for a little fro-yo dessert would be a nice walk on M.
and I am so over Gtown Cupcake, their cupcakes are brittle and overly sweet. Go for a nice drive down to Slaters Lane in Alexandria for Buzz Bakery's cupcakes, best in the area IMO. |

You could also go to Baked and Wired for dessert.
The waterfront restaurants are great for kids bc you can eat outside and it wont disturb people as much as inside. We live right next to Il Canale and Cafe La Rouche and Paper Moon and have taken our kids to all of them. |
| You can also try Bangkok Joes in the Harbor. |
| Peacock Cafe and Bangkok Bistro are both kid-friendly. |

Cafe Divan -- turkish food and very accommodating to children (at least when we have eaten there on the earlier side).
