Does your kid still use an umbrella ?

I couldn't help but laugh, at the kids getting wet today waiting for the schools bus, because they just hate using an umbrella

Why don' they use one anymore? I know is not an money issue, because it was my kids and neighbor kids and we talked about this before...

Would you keep your wet umbrella in your purse all day? or would you request a locker (that you will never use) just in case of a "rainy day" to keep the umbrella? Silly, LOL.

Mine carries one and opens it only when it is absolutely pouring. He doesn't want to sit in wet clothes all morning. And, of course, no longer wears a raincoat.

I remember they weren’t cool even back in high school in the 1980s. I have no idea why.

My kid loses one about every week, so I’m starting to think he shouldn’t carry one at all.

My HS kid walks to school and does use an umbrella when it's raining more than lightly.

DD just wears a raincoat. She outside for maybe 3 minutes waiting for the bus. She’ll live.

That's just so lazy!

My kid used one and left it at the bus stop when the bus arrived. No plan B and no intention to take it to school...

I've seen a couple of kids use umbrellas at drop-off. Mine does not, as she doesn't want to carry a wet umbrella on top of everything else.

This generation of children hates umbrellas and coats. I don't get it.

My kids will take one if I hand it to them (as I did this AM when it was a downpour as they left for the bus). The oldest and youngest dutifully stick the wet umbrellas in an outer pocket of their backpacks and have no issues with them getting other things wet and manage to use the same umbrella for months or years.

The middle child never ever brings his umbrella back home. He apparently thinks its disposable, which is why we told him that today is his last umbrella. He can get wet or buy future umbrellas with his own money.
