Traffic patterns near Baltimore changes with loss of FSK bridge. Going to BWI from Springfield area today. How much extra time with traffic?
Any thoughts? |
| I would not anticipate any extra traffic near BWI on a Saturday |
| None the key bridge was a major roadway, but there are also several other major roadways nearby to absorb the traffic going from Springfield to BWI. You won’t be impacted at all. It’s not the same impact as say Wilson or American Legion Bridge collapsing would be. Not even remotely close. |
| Thank you! We were considering the train and it is a logistical challenge with luggage! |
| Allow extra time for spring break nonsense at BWI though. We found a lot of parking lots full and had to wait over 30 minutes for the shuttle from the express lot last Friday. |
| The key bridge is nowhere near BWI. Allow whatever time you normally would. Be aware parking shuttles are always a $hitshow. I’d allow at least 30-40 minutes to get to the terminal from the garage. |
Always park in hourly garage at BWI It is only $27/day. |
The private lots like park n relax are great for bwi— and you can reserve a spot at peak times |
