Oslo & Copenhagen Packing Tips?

Anonymous
Heading there in two weeks for 10 days with newish guy. What do they wear over there? Lots of neutrals? Send me a few pic to help me set my compass and figure out what I need to get to fill the gaps so I look put together and cute but comfortable. (I went into a bit of a downward spiral fashion-wise with divorce, I don’t trust my own fashion sense)

In my 40s, divorced 1.5 years. Can you dress me for this trip?

Do you have kids?

I hate to break it to you but they will know you are a tourist no matter what you wear. You are mid 40s, no one is going to be looking at you over there. I'd pack layers and some water resistant shoes.

Pack a raincoat. It rains a lot in Copenhagen.

My mom wore super 90s hot pink and teal all over Europe and had a great time. You'll be good. Layer up for the Norway in a Nutshell tour.

We were there last summer- definitely layers and comfortable shoes to walk in. I mainly wore jeans, long sleeve tees and a spring jacket. Great cities! Have a fun time

I think OP wanted to look cute for the guy she is going with, not random dudes, based on her post

Does anyone have a fashion travel blog they trust? I am sometimes in this situation too, I would not like to look like a tourist but sometimes the blogs I read end up being way off the mark, as if they made up being there

Copenhagen has great clothing boutiques with Danish and Nordic labels. I would plan to shop a lot there, save room in your suitcase or bring an extra one.

I'm sure that's exactly how this new guy will enjoy spending time together on their vacation.

Pack a good waterproof jacket and nice shoes you can walk in. Dress a bit nicer than you usually would. If you wear REI gear you will stand out

Why are you so rude? First of all, you’re ageist and sexist. Secondly, I’m 44 and still get plenty of attention from men. But third and most important, your response has nothing to do with OP’s post.

OP, have a great time!

Jeans. Tees for layering. Tennis shoes. No show socks. Warm layer - sweater or cardigan. Not sweatshirt. Jacket to throw on top for dinner. Small umbrella. Sexy nightwear and underwear.
