Why are Facebook marketplace listings not visible outside of Facebook marketplace?

When I click on the Facebook page of a person who is selling something, the items they have for sale on Facebook marketplace are not showing.

Am I doing something wrong?

Young adult DD has furnished a lot of her apartment from it. She is barely on Facebook, but she fits completely with this NYT article (gift link)

So does OP want the listings to come up when she uses Google? I’m unclear about the question.

OP - I think it’s a settings issue. When I’ve sold stuff on Facebook marketplace, it doesn’t show up on my personal page, same is true when I see a friend’s marketplace posting.

I also find it impossible to sell anything there anymore. Even stuff like kids’ gear, clothes or toys that would sell easily several years ago.

People are being more tight with their spending perhaps?
