There’s a reason ham & swiss cheese is iconic. I just made the most delish sandwich. Lightly toasted sourdough, thin-sliced deli ham, a slice of swiss cheese, a bit of mayo & dijon, topped with a few tiny cornichons. SO GOOD!

Similarly, corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and a bit of thousand island dressing grilled between slices of rye bread is perfection.

| Ham and Swiss is good, but I prefer ham with cheddar, gouda, provolone myself. I'm just not as much a fan of Swiss cheese. |
