Anyone know much about College Landscape? Sounds like the College Board prepares SAT and other granular data about each high school, zip code, etc. that colleges can match to an applicant when they review them. They say it isn’t that adversity score that got a ton of backlash a few years ago, but it kind of sounds like it is. Even if your kid doesn’t sign up for college search (or take the SAT), colleges that they apply to have this data snapshot about them and their “context”. I guess not really a surprise, and makes sense colleges want the info, but something about it seems more intrusive than I would have thought.

How is this any different than the cover sheet/school snapshot your child’s guidance counselor sends with their transcripts? It’s necessary to put a student’s grades and classes in context.

I like the idea of it and think it would be helpful in understanding schools, especially when school profiles are so different and inconsistent.
