| Thoughts? Anyone know what a full the miles coverage is on a full tank of gas on the hybrid model? |
| i dunno but i want one |
Which one? |
| I think we would just go w/ a regular (platinum) - I'm not that sold on the hybrid thing. the platinum are definitely nice but there are other trim levels as well - i think any with the sunroof and at least the mid level engine package would be fine |
There is a difference in the engine and power, from what I understand, between the regular and the MAX version. The mpg is actually lower on the Hybrid but the power differential boosts it back up to the previous V6 models. I think the regular Platinum at V4 will be underwhelming if you are used to the V6. |

I've been speccing this out repeatedly on their website and have provisionally settled on the Hybrid Max Limited with a few extras (roof bars, panoramic camera).
Are these generally sold at MSRP or lower/higher? |
| The acceleration in the MAX is totally worth it IMO. Nothing worse than an SUV with mediocre giddy up |
| I agree that the acceleration is great. To answer the question about MSRP, our MAX was above MSRP because these sell out before they get to the lot. All dealers are marking up the MAX so expect to pay more but having owned the Platinum, the MAX is most definitely worth the cost differential. |
+1 Standard engine is...fine. MAX is much more enjoyable to drive. That said, I'm getting 24mpg after 5K miles on our MAX (90% city driving), which is 2-3mpg less than expected. |
I now live in FL and MAX are going for MSRP, but are hard to find if you're particular about specs. I eventually found a Limited in a nearby state, and got it for a few K under MSRP. |
| They’re both slow |
??? MAX is sub 6 second 0-60. Not many other cars in the class with that acceleration. |
I have the Limited hybrid. Acceleration is sufficient, MPG’s are very good (35 mpg overall). The Max, especially in hybrid, is one of the strongest performers in this class. |
