The Stormy Daniels affair and subsequent Micheal Cohen complications was all the media could talk about a couple years ago. This is it, coming home to roost. The least injurious of Trump's trials.

Ah, yes. That was so long ago, I thought it was all over and had moved on to the financial crimes, the insurrection, and attempt to fix the Ga vote cases. Hard to keep up with it all.

Cohen spent time in prison and is a convicted felon. Trump was "individual 1" on the case, so expect about the same.

It is not a "sex scandal" trial, it is an election interference trial. Let's get the terminology right.

It’s not a sex scandal, it’s a corruption scandal. The whole point is that he paid her off so there wouldn’t be a sex scandal — which, like most of his financial decisions, did not pay off.

The best part is that the money spent was a total waste because MAGAland doesn’t care. He has to go to trial for wasting money on something for which he derived no benefit whatsoever.

At the time this would have come out, it could have had a negative impact on his election from traditional and religious conservatives.
