| This is an odd travel recommendation but my daughter goes to Brown in Providence and when we pick her up from school we are spending a few days in Mystic. Any recommendations besides the aquarium and pizza? Seemed like a wayto break up the drive a little bit. |

It's fantastic! Go here: it will take a day.
https://mysticseaport.org/visit/mystic-seaport-marina/?gad_source=1 The restaurant scene is strong too. Try staying here: https://innatmystic.com/ |
| I think the aquarium is nice but I think Mystic sometimes is a little overrated as a stop. If the weather is nice, the Sea view snack bar is a classic seafood shanty type place where you can have a nice lunch on picnic tables by the river. |

I would go with Red36 or Engine Room if you’re looking for restaurant recs. You can do some paddleboarding on the river.
If it’s nice out, you can also stop by Watch Hill, RI which is about 25 min away. Go for a walk on the beach or to the lighthouse and stop by the Ocean House for lunch or dinner. |
Mystic has a cute downtown with an array of boutiques and shops. The aquarium is nice. Not much there to justify more than a night's stay. |
Also don’t miss waving at T Swift’s house at the end the beach (next to the lighthouse IIRC). |
| I second the rec for Mystic Seaport. We went when my DD was at Brown and all enjoyed it. |
| I really love the Mystic area. Wander around Stonington (next little town north) and also check out the submarines in Groton. |
