For the past year or so I have had occasional pain in my right foot. It is worst while driving but can crop up at any time. My spine doc and my podiatrist think it could be sciatica—but I don’t get pain all the way down the leg. MRI showed minimal bulging of what would be the disc that would be associated with such pain — but spine doc said it wasn’t definitely the culprit.
The pain has gotten worse lately and is affecting my life more. Spine doctor prescribed Meloxicam (which I haven’t taken yet) and said if the pain persists he could try injecting cortisone into the area around the disc. Has anyone been through something similar? Did you find your way out of the pain and, if so, what did you do? |
| I have foot pain from sciatica, but I also feel it in my buttocks and down the leg. I haven't heard of it just manifesting in the foot, sounds implausible to me. But I am not a dr! |
| I've had both where it goes all the way down and then just my foot. I tried PT videos for strengthening the calves and legs and some yoga poses have helped. I notice it's much worse for some reason just after my period I think my endo is wrapped around the nerve. |

| Yes, it can happen. PT can help. Or look up flossing exercises. |
| Absolutely. You could do a nerve test but I hear they are pretty uncomfortable. If it was me I’d do a couple months of PT for the herniated disk and see if it improves. |

OP here. I have not heard of these -- will try. Thanks. Thanks to everyone else who responded as well. |
