In April.
Thanks! |
|
I would do a food tour, for sure. Early in your trip. That way you get an idea of where to go.
Lots of going to tapas bars and enjoying this and that. Go down Las Ramblas to the ocean and walk along the boardwalk. A day at Park Guell. It's magical. A day at Sagrada Familia. Stay at a hotel in a nice little neighborhood. |
| 2 of my favorites - Sagrada Familia and the Picasso Museum. Then add in Park Guell and a stroll along the waterfront and the Gothic Quarter. |
| Thank you! No day trips? |
| & what area would you stay in? This is an unanticipated trip I am doing solo as a layover |
|
I traveled solo last April. Some highlights:
Devour food tour. E-bike ride to winery / sail back. Barcelona sailing experiences. Flamenco performance at the famous hall Part guell. Sagrada familia- I did a tour of the towers. Hotel: Casa bonay. Groovy boutique hotel. I got a room with private patio. Food: highlights were pubilla gracia. Bar brutal. Walk EVERYWHERE! |
| I’d stay in the Eixample area. Lots of restaurants, not far from Sagrada Familia (get tix ahead) and Gaudi houses. If you like to cook, we enjoyed Cook and Taste. We walked to everything on the Rambla de Catalunya and felt safe. Definitely check out the market in the old town area. Just take precautions for pickpockets. |
|
Stay in Eixample area.
Grilled fish at Kiosko Universal in marcado de La Boqueria, surprisingly good. Santa Maria del Mar if you read Cathedral of the sea. It is in the Gothic quarter and its roof top has a good view of the city. Cable car to the top of Tibidado. On the way back, have a drink at one of the restaurants looking down to the city. Walk the Tibidado ave if you read Shadow of the wind. Gawk the mansions. |
| Oh, see a show in Palau de la Música Catalana instead of just take a tour. |
Yes! I saw an amazing flamenco performance |
| WOw, thank you , please keep them coming! |
+1. Good start. OP, there are no lack of ideas! What are your interests? |
Sorry, do these after visiting La Sagrada Familia
|
| I love walking and exploring and eavesdropping/people watching. |
| Rent e-bikes and bike up Montjuïc. Go visit the Miró museum while there. |
