If you don’t care for canned refried beans, no need to chime in.
I shop at Aldi but I’m not a fan of their version. Prefer vegetarian but doesn’t have to be. |
| I love Ducal. It’s a Guatemalan brand. |
| Taco Bell |
| Another vote for Taco Bell. Pintos and Cheese, which has the sauce on them. |
|
Amy’s although it has gotten outrageously expensive
Goya is not bad on a budget |
| We get Amy’s. I thin them with some water and add some more salt and cumin, sometimes chopped garlic, when I’m heating them |

Not canned, but dehydrated. You just add hot water and refresh them. You have to buy a big pack but they last forever and are hands down the best I've ever had.

Old El Paso Fat Free Refried Beans
|
| Trader Joe’s black refried beans. |
|
+1 ducal
Simmer on low, add water or chicken broth to smooth out more as time progresses |
|
Old El Paso for sure. We do either the classic (full fat) or the Vegetarian. I think it has the best consistency.
My kid loves refried beans and does not eat meat so we've tried them all, plus I've also made my own from scratch, and Old El Paso comes the closest to restaurant style which is what she wants. |
| I agree with Ducal. I looooove refried beans, so I love this thread. Haha |
| Wegman's brand! It comes in either black or pinto bean varieties. |
This. Ducal is the best. |
| La Preferida is our favorite |
