My first grader's class started with 22 students at the beginning of the school year. Now, the class size has reached to 28 students. Actually, all three classes of the first grade have 28/29 students. Is it possible that school 7 students from each class to form a new class in the middle of the year? |
Doubtful. And that’s not bad. There’s only 1 quarter left. |
Nope. They are not hiring a Teacher and shuffling kids into different classes at this late date. They are not doing that in the second quarter. It disrupts all of the classes and there are probably space considerations at the school. I would guess that something similar has happened in every grade, do you think your school has 6-7 additional classrooms for 6-7 new classes? |
Wow - that's a ton of new kids mid-year. What school is this? |
I am going to guess that it is one of the schools that sees a lot of immigrants arriving during the year, like Hutchinson. It is more likely a Title 1 or near Title 1 school where the housing is less expensive and ultiple families will end up sharing a space. |
