How is your mcps school wasting your students time this week?
My freshman will be in career fairs insteas of using the time to meet with teachers or make up assignments.

Are the career fairs mandatory? Not at my kids school, he’ll be going in at 12:50 when classes start for the day after spending the morning doing homework.

How could your student be meeting with teachers when the teachers are proctoring?

Our HS is offering mock AP exams in a couple of subjects (my kid is doing that). They're also offering several volunteer opportunities in the school for kids who need to get SSL hours.

Lucky! I wish we had AP study sessions.
Our school has "Rocket Refresh" in cafeteria, ie they "will be expected to access their coursework until testing is completed and classes resume". I am picturing 5 hour food fight in my mind

Why should the school avoid planning something interesting because your kid can't do their missing assignments in their free time?

So maybe they will learn something then. No wonder do many students act like entitled brats. Their parents show them how.
