Taking AP Classes Online To Get Credit(not self study)

Is anyone familiar with this? I know it appears on the transcript but how is it structured? There isn't much info on the website. Are students required to do homework?

It's almost entirely homework!

MCPS contracts with vendors such as JHU CTY. Most courses are self-paced (videos/readings) with homework and proctored online exams. One or two vendors have live weekly sessions during the academic school year.
