| Has anyone visited both? How are the campuses and students similar or different? |
| Roll Tide |
| War Eagle |
| The last two comments sum up what you need to know about both schools. |

Who sends their kid to the land of Katie Britt and Tommytubbervile?
Sorry but no an education is a gift and neither of these two places will be providing that moving forward. Science will be gone period. Replaced by religious nut bag nonsense. |
We were considering both schools but since this situation keeps getting worse, we've crossed them both off our list. |
| Auburn is a preppy classy vibe with most girls dressed up for game days. Alabama is get drunk, party and skip class vibe where the girls will more likely be in jerseys boots and look like they are headed to a zach ryan concert. |
|
What situation? College towns are blue. |
Yep. War Eagle! |
And the two Dobbs dorks immediately following sum up what you need to know about people who bash these schools. |

We visited both in the fall of 2021. In general we had a better impression of Alabama.
But I really think you should visit both of them yourself and draw your own conclusion. |
OP did not specify they had a daughter. Not sure why you are summarizing two universities based on how females dress and act. |
|
Sure, base you kid's college decision on a couple of wackos you don't like. We can find similar wackos at all schools. E.g. Trump and Penn/Wharton.
But ok.... I visited both last year. Alabama has a lot to offer. Beautiful campus with new buildings and old traditional buildings. A good student would do well. I was impressed, and I previously was a northern school SLAC snob. Alabama much more sprawling. Only campus where our tour was by bus. Alabama gives very generous merit aid, if you need that. Auburn much more compact and walkable. Felt more like a community. But less diverse. Auburn has a better reputation. DS chose Auburn. You can visit both in same day. So go visit. |
| What major, OP? For engineering I would choose Auburn, no thinking required. |
