| Hello, I have a rising 5 year old and want to put him in the best soccer club in or near Mclean. He’s been playing in his preschool and in Soccer shots but we’re looking to really build his foot/ball skills to eventually play travel competitive soccer. Are there any private soccer clubs like Valor or St. James near mclean. |
| None. You pay to play on. A team but all those kids will get private lessons outside the club to. |
|
there is only one soccer club in McLean, silly goose. It's called McLean soccer club.
https://mcleansoccer.org/ Just sign him up for the youngest "pre-academy" program they have. |
|
you can also try out for the Fairfax Virginia Union team if he's good enough.
Just email the directors saying you have a talented 5 year old and you want to try out for the FVU team. Let us know how it goes. |
🤣🤣🤣 |
This is the extra special McLean parent who wants a "private" soccer club for their one in a million DC LMAO! These are not country clubs Karen. They are all pay to play. No worries, you're not going to be slummin' it at MYS. |

| The Future is FCV |
| Try Ajax |
| For private or small group training, you could try Capstone Soccer. Then segway into McLean Travel Soccer. You should be able to play a year up with his skills for his age. (I.e. at age 6 he should be able to try out and play with the U8 travel cohort.) good luck and have fun! |
