Too many fast-casual in Kensingron

Just learned that the new complex at the corner of Plyers Mill & Conn. Ave. will have three eating places: Mezeh, Buffalo Wild Wings GO, and Marathon Deli. In addition, Moby Dick, to open next to a Japanese chain, Five Guys, Crisp n Juicy, Chipotle, and Java Nation across the street. Manny's Pizza. Plus some more down the road, including food trucks at BabyCat, District Cafe, and Buns n Rice. Is this getting out of hand? The last two are ok, but are the others not that good for your health? I remember when Manny's was the only place to get food late at night!

I guess that's what people want? I rarely eat out, but when I do I don't look for super healthy food. I cook that at home.

Kensington planning is awful. All of the fast food places — I wouldn’t even call them fast casual — are for commuters. There is little in the way of sit down family or date night restaurants for those of us who live in the area.

I like Moby Dick and Buffalo Wild Wings.
No one is going to put a Rose’s Lucury in that raggedy corner.

Just don’t touch my Continental Pizza! I would be so sad if they left.

So don’t eat at these places. What a strange thread.

That what makes money.

At least it’s not another gas station!

I could be wrong, but doesn’t Kensington ban alcohol sales in restaurants? I thought was the reason they never had any decent places to eat.

And no dancing in public places.

I don’t know how we are all going to park on that tiny plot of land with the new complex.

This. I don’t want to go to a restaurant if I can’t get alcohol.

You can drink at places like the dish and dram, and probably the new place that is replacing the Chinese restaurant (RIP).

No, love it. But, the parking is going to be a nightmare. Manny's went down hill and prices are insane.
