| Spending a few days in the area this summer and would be grateful for suggestions on things to do and tours. Especially grateful for suggestions on boat trips/rentals in Lake Powell |
|
We stopped in Page on our way from Zion to the Grand Canyon but it wasn’t really my favorite part of that trip.
We just went to the marina and bought tickets for a boat trip as I recall. Would look into the water level issues if you are thinking at all about renting. We also visited antelope canyon (and some other canyons) and we did the half day float trip down the Colorado from the dam. |
| We loved Page and stayed there while visiting Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. We stayed at the Hyatt Place and found the hotel to be comfortable and clean. |
|
We also liked Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon, although the Horseshoe Bend rafting tour is kind of slow and long. We did a kayak tour on Lake Powell that our tween/teen liked the best out of everything we did through this outfitter. They were took us to these rocks where we could jump off. It was really fun.

Page is kind of a hole. I was just there for 3 nights and it was 3 nights too many.
Did a Rainbow Bridge NM boat ride and loved it. Hikes to the toadstools, buckskin gulch. Horseshoe Bend at sunset (don’t do sunrise, you’ll get nothing but shadows). All in all though, Page kinda sucks. Restaurants are very very overpriced, and many close early (like 7pm early). |
| Check carefully re water levels. When we were there in 2022 (I think), the water levels were so low that most boats were not running. |
| Do a Slot Canyon. Book ahead, they tend to sell out fast. |
