If my kid doesn't get in AAP, how do I get LIII/advanced math?

My child gets LII services now (extra math). If he doesn't get into AAP, how can I request that he get LIII and pulled out for advanced math?

Download the form then submit it to the AART

Ask the school how does advanced math selection work. At our school there is a test at the beginning of the year

Some schools use iReady scores. Some schools use SOL scores. Some schools use a test. Some schools use a combination of the above.

We had a deadline last year of 4/14 for LIII referrals. I believe it was in our weekly newsletter but your AART will know.

There is no deadline that I know of

Our AART said at the AAP info meeting last fall that kids are automatically considered for Level III services in either April or May if they don't get into Level IV- no need to apply again.

My daughter has level 2 services for math. She leaves her gen Ed class each day and joins the AAP classroom for math. She is at a center school.
