I have been vegetarian in DC for 20 years so could always use some fresh ideas. Recently I discovered a vegetarian taco salad with honey sriracha tofu that is amazing from this place:
https://banditostnt.com/arlington/ I had it once and craved it for two weeks until I went back and got it again. So good! Any other dishes you have been impressed with lately? |
| Joe’s Noodle House in Rockville has an entire vegetarian menu. We’ve been going there since we first moved to this area 20 years ago. |
| Fancy Radish in DC |
| Ricebar on 8th has some great vegetarian options. Love the black rice! |
They closed a while ago. |
| It’s not DC but a friend recently introduced me to Amma Vegetarian Kitchen in Vienna and now I’m addicted. |
Oooooh. I wouldn't normally order a taco salad but this looks good. I may have to go to Arlington for this. |
We love these

They're not new, but if you're a vegetarian in DC and you haven't been to Thip Khao you must go. I've never had tofu so delicious.
I recommend the Chuenh Taohu and the Naem Khao especially. They also have delicious meat options if you're a diverse party. |
| For Vietnamese, Chay just opened up out on Fairfax (?) and I really want to go. I recently went to Muoi Thieu in Takoma Park and they had wonderful lemongrass tofu bun! |
| Thip Khao and Makan have great veggie options. So does Purple Patch. |
Thanks for sharing. That sounds good. I’ve been vegetarian for several years in this area but lately only explore around my area. Some dishes/places: Mama Tigre (Mexican Indian fusion) has many options https://mamatigre.com/vegetarian-menu/ Yama Sushi down the street-I like their vegetable roll Sunflower-Vegetarian chicken tso Happy Thai-Panang tofu, Thai salad (salad with tofu strips) |
They’re not vegetarian in the US. They contain “natural beef flavors”. |
