| Doesn't matter where. In-town, on the interstate, whatever. I'm bored. I have a short spring break trip coming up that's just four hours away, and I'm dreading it. I am not auditory, so audiobooks don't do it for me. My car is two years old and very comfortable, but I still get bored. How can I make it suck less? |
| Stop every 20 miles and find a parking lot to shoot off some illegal fireworks for 5 minutes then continue |
| I’m like this with running. I think you just kind of have to suck it up. |

Me too. I’m happy to listen to music forever but not audio books. The solution is my husband does 80% of the long distance driving. But when that’s not an option, I just stop once every hour or hour and a half to stretch and take a break.

| Get a car with a manual transmission. |
| Drive faster, makes it more exciting |
| Just get used to not being able to be on your phone all of the time. See driving as an activity, not as a boring time in which your phone is put away. |
Driving isn’t boring. You’re driving a boring car. |
*book I'm not a big phone person. |
| i RE-watch my favorite youtube videos |
I have a comfortable and fun car that makes driving less sucky. I have a really good stereo too and that helps b/c that's one of the only places I can listen to MY music
|
^^^ THIS ^^^ Life is too short to drive cars that don’t make you happy driving them. |

To get through the boredom of driving DC back and forth to college - less than 2 hours - I started timing how long it took me to go through the various counties and landmarks. Dunkin Donuts is 4 minutes away from the county line! It changes if I’m behind a slowpoke on the one-lane road.
Something to do! |
| Have a few beers or a few glasses of whiskey before and while you're driving. It will make driving more relaxing and enjoyable. |
