I am on the first week of third month so will go up to 40 units today, from 20. Can I expect some progress? I am bummed by how little I have lost so far, about 5lbs. |
I don’t recognize the doses as you describe them. Are you on Wegovy? Or are you taking a compounded product from a diet center? |
It's a compound (from a pharmacy) |
I don't know what doses you mean. I started at 0.25 mg, went up to 0.50 mg, then 1.00mg and it isn't working yet. Doctor is planning on increasing my dose in a few weeks. |
I looked it up and it is 1mg now (just started today with that dose) |
I don’t know for sure but I surmise that your weight affects this. I was 180 when I started and really felt different on .25. I lost 8 pounds the first month. My husband was 220, didn’t really feel it and lost 0. Same for a friend who was probably around 200. Nothing really happened for her on the first dose. |
I felt it from the first dose at .25. Then was at .5 for several months because I was losing weight quickly and didn't want to go up too fast.
Maybe it's the compound? I am on a compound as well and it's been effective but I am not sure how consistent they are. |
I have lost 35 pounds in a year on Wegovy. The jump to 2.4 was too much for my body & the side effects were terrible. I lost the most weight then, but it was because I felt so badly that I couldn't eat. It was so bad that I went to the ER twice. But I lost 12 pounds that month. I'm glad that I took it because it jump started a process (both physical and mental) that needed to happen, but I stopped taking it after a year. |
I’m on .25mg compounded. Lost 10 lbs first month. 143 to 133. Staying on this dose. |
I started seeing real improvement with my diabetes once I got to the 1 mg dosage but not weight loss. I just started with the 2 mg dose, so we'll see. But I still need to work on my emotional eating. |
