Classroom fight leads to lawsuit in PG

Apparently the violence in PG schools is reaching next-level. Now there’s a lawsuit.

So who has actually seen the video footage? Did the reporter actually see it or are they going by what the law firm states is on the tape?

It seems super sketchy to me.

Lawsuits are based on evidence.

If there’s no evidence, the suit won’t make very far.

You are not automatically entitled to see the evidence, PP.

The girl in the light blue shirt is standing in the middle of the cleared out classroom, and the kids are counting down. The boy in the dark blue shirt comes at her.

The fight, or play fight, horseplay, whatever it was - happened over a month ago.

Mom says

a) her daughter was seriously injured

b) mom didn't know anything about the fight, though, until she saw the video.

So now she's suing the district. I think it is going to be very hard for her to sue for injuries, given she says she had no idea the fight even happened.

Footage shows students counting down before a fight in January between a boy and Graham's daughter. Classmates cheered and recorded with their phones. Though the the fight happened in earlier in the year, Graham only found out later, when video was posted on social media. Attorneys said the little girl suffered serious injuries, and according to her mother, she has not returned to the classroom since the fight came to light.

I mean... watch the video. There's a big disparity in size between the girl whose mom says she was attacked... and the much shorter, skinnier little boy who wrestled her to the ground. I think he threw a punch there at the end, which if this WAS a "play fight" (which shouldn't be allowed at school) meant things got out of control.

But this wasn't some kid getting jumped in a classroom. The kids were rough housing.
