Did you store stuff in a POD on your property during a reno?

We're moving into an apartment during the renovation of our small (<2300 sqft) duplex. Wondering whether we should keep a pod in our backyard and move extra furniture, clothes we don't need in the apartment, etc. Have you done this? Seems better than risking the dust, but we'd be able to access and move things more easily. There's enough space that it would not obstruct the workers coming in the back.

Does your neighborhood have an HOA? Make sure pods are allowed before you rent.

No, we live in NW DC.

Would stuff get moldy? I definitely wouldn’t put clothes in one. I wouldn’t want to keep clothes in a backyard shed either.

We stored art and clothes on my parents basement.

You should get a climate-controlled storage unit.

You would ruin your yard.

I would not do this. We did get a bike storage tent to store all our tools and garage type gear, but it definitely got damp inside.
