In a private pool with 400 families, how many might get off the wait-list each year?

| My pool of about this size turns over 20-30 memberships per year. But it depends on the model for your pool. Some have different membership offerings (is temporary an option or not). We also have restrictions on who will be offered membership (per the bylaws) when we have a waitlist. |

Yes, we will probably do that. We also like the public pools. It would just be nice to go to the neighborhood one. |

| our pool has about 400 families. I think you have a pretty decent chance of getting off the waitlist. We typically bring in 20-30 new families every year. But that means we make offers to somewhere between 40-100 families every year. Depending on how well the waitlist is managed, there can be a surprising number of families on the waitlist who are at the top, get an offer every year, and decline the offer but stay on the list. There are also a lot of families on the waitlist for multiple pools. |

We have about 400 families and offer 30-40 new memberships per year. If you are in the neighborhood you go to the top of the list. Out of the neighborhood you just wait and can get bumped out.
Definitely join a pool. |

| I agree very good chance for most pools. Could be an off year, but usually a pool will offer 20-30 like people said but in most years there is a more significant number than you think of people who they offer to but decline because plans have changed after being on the waitlist so long - they've moved, found another pool, etc etc. Most pools near us have already done their lists for the year though. |

| Reminder - some pools prioritize families that get a summer August membership - so if this is something available this summer you might want to explore it. |
