Has anyone been to a mental health ‘retreat’

Like a totally voluntary, nice facility that feels like a spa but has therapy, group therapy, consultations? If you or anyone you know has experience and you can share, I would be grateful. Thank you.

Very pricey but i’d look into retreat at shepherd Pratt. Or if less severe/not interested in medication maybe a yoga retreat in Costa Rica-can’t remember names but I’ve there are several well regarded ones.

Onsite in Tennessee. Lots of options and people I’ve known who have gone have said it’s amazing

The retreat at SP hospital or another hospital isn’t gonna be like one in Costa Rica.

OP here. Thank you all. I really appreciate it.

No, but I had to leave in the middle of the night once and check in at a hotel. Was about to really lose it on the husband. I think he learned a lesson.

My SIL went there for 3 weeks. It’s not a resort or yoga type of retreat.

IDK but I'm booking camps for my kids and I'm so jealous of the no-electronics, sports, tennis, dance, crafts aspect of it all....

So bananas that there aren’t more of these. Over half of gen z say they have mental health issues. I’m mid 40s and in a constant anxiety spiral. Why they don’t have retreats to go get 3h per day of therapy with yoga and on-site medication management and not awful is insane. The money is there

True, but a lot of the anxiety has to do with other people. And this is basically forced interaction with strangers. Some people hate that.
