Liberty U has agreed to pay the penalty. It also settled with about a dozen of the female students who sued it for the same sort of coverups, but the amount of the settlement is unknown.

Gotta love the part where Liberty U offered a woman who was raped a full tuition scholarship if she gave up the child who resulted from the rape for adoption.

Also love the part where the IT department was told to wipe the hard drives the day before the federal investigators were scheduled to appear.

Yep. As a very conservative Christian I can't stand the place, because, well, it's not actually conservative. Christopher Hitchens was right when, upon the death of Jerry Falwell, he said, "If you'd have given him an enema you could have buried him in a match box."

So I found it mystifying when a fellow parishioner, now a Brigadier General, sent his daughter there. Man, you could have sent her anywhere and you sent her to Liberty?

I am no fan of Liberty, but let's refrain from getting too judgy on the people who go there. My cousin's kid wanted to attend, and she let her. She didn't send her. She is conservative but not maga. Kid is awesome and very lgbtq supportive. It can happen! But, I will agree that is likely despite Liberty, not in any way because of it.

Liberty has done a great job marketing itself to the masses and passing off censorship and cancel culture as "values" while promoting fear, discrimination, indoctrination and the Christian persecution complex. Falwell and co are despicable. I hope this finding will take a chunk out of that empire and not become some rallying cry akin to "stolen" election.
