And freaking out
2 siblings have already had cancer Ugh How long dor a needle biopsy to come back? |

The office that did your biopsy should be able to tell you. There is nothing wrong with calling and asking.
They told me 4-6 days. On day 7 I called to follow up. It turned out they had gotten the pathology results 3 days after the biopsy but the radiologist hadn't gotten around to writing his report and recommendation yet. |
| I hope all goes smoothly and you get good results. |

I feel you OP. The wait is the worst. Mine turned out to be cancer but I’m happy to report I’m still here, 1.5 yrs out from treatment and doing great. But the 2 day wait for results were the worst days of my life.
If the results aren’t what you’re expecting, I still know you’ve got this! |
| I once sat in the room waiting for a breast biopsy and was so overwhelmed with fear. I finally said “f*ck this” to myself and went on Zappos and ordered $150. pair of flats that I wanted but wasn’t something I would normally spend the money on. I said to myself I was going to live and be around to wear them. In the end the biopsy was negative and I’m still here. Hugs, OP, and wishing you the best. |
| My positive biopsy took the full 7 days after being told 5 to 7. They had to do extra testing on it to give the full pathology before the radiologist called me (xmas eve, late afternoon). In my experience, every biopsy that is positive took longer (I also have skin cancer, including melanoma). Good luck OP. The waiting really crystallized for my husband and me what really matters - everything just… stopped …. that week |
I had a DCIS diagnosis and ended up buying a bunch of pretty Dooney & Burke purses late at night. The packages just kept showing up over the next couple of weeks. I had never really been a purse person, but I just wanted to do something for myself while I was waiting for my lumpectomy. Retail therapy is a real thing! |
| I had my breast biopsy on a Friday, March 2, 2018. On Monday, March 5, I got the news by phone I had breast cancer. Exactly six years ago today. I’m here and feel healthier than ever! |
Congratulations! |
