07 Boys GK seeking ECNL, ECRL or MLS team

My son, an 07 GK, is looking to join an ECNL, ECRL or MLS team in the DMV area. While we live in D.C. we have accepted we will need to commute for practices. Anyone know of clubs looking for a keeper for the 2024-2025 season or sooner? We have found it can be difficult to make a new club as a keeper unless they are short on keepers or have an obvious need. Lots of clubs carry just two and can be content with their keepers. Its an unusual position. Can be easy to spot good vs bad but difficult to tell better from good, at least over the short tryouts. Appreciate any leads.

Hope you get some responses to narrow your search. Have you reached out to some clubs and dropped some feelers to coaches to see if there's interest to have him out to training?

07 is going to be tough to displace unless a team is really lacking at keeper, or if your DS is an absolute stud there. Best of luck in finding a landing spot!

I would agree. You can check with Potomac who has ecnl and rl. Next year DC soccer will have ecrl but plays virginia spring season.

Check out either NVA or VDA
