I am finding this VERY hard to follow and connect the dots on this.
This seems to be a story of a journalist murdered by the Government b/c he was going to expose the thievery of private software by the government. That software was distributed to various US Government associates (underground). In a nutshell? |
| So this actually appears to be a documentary about conspiracy theories and theorists, not the theory itself. By the end, Consolaro and his "sources" look cray. |
| Consolaro’s story and death are a starting point for the filmmakers to dig into the things that he was investigating. They don’t claim to know how his death came about, and don’t necessarily believe that there was a big conspiracy going on. I take their point to be that even if there was no overarching conspiracy, the US has been involved in so many sh!tty practices they make it pretty easy for conspiracy theorists to gain traction and convince people of their wacky ideas. |
Hmmm…other than that Michael dude, I didn’t think the sources seemed “cray.” Even with Michael, there was likely some truth floating around in there. |
That’s what makes them work. Usually bits of truth. I found myself thinking mostly he was a victim of cray conspiracy theorists but yes, there were several suspicious things that happened. So maybe not the whole connected web he thought but definitely some people committing more crimes to cover up other crimes. The army guy in the bar, the fast embalmings, and the multiple wrist slashes , were especially suspicious. |
