The Perfect Workout strength training

For older 55+ woman. Pricey!! Does it work or can anyone recommend something like it for Silver Spring area?

Bumping this to ask about the best (and most time efficient) strength training options for the menopausal age demographic. I have read about "Perfect Workout" and am worried about the potential injuries from the methodology. Interested in people's experiences.

I poked around the website and it just looks like a bunch of basic weight machines? The kind that you can find in any gym? I don't know why you need to pay a premium for this sort of thing - you can go to any Golds Gym/Planet Fitness/LA fitness and find this stuff. I'm not 55+, but I am 51. I just started weight training 1 year ago and began with just pushing a bit of weight around on the weight machines. The first couple of times I went, I used weights that felt pretty easy for 10 reps at a time. After that, I started to slowly increase the weight up to the point that a set of 8-10 felt challenging. I've been VERY SLOWLY upping the weight and am proud to report that after nearly a year (along with a bit of increased protein in my diet), I began to see progress. I now am doing a mix of free weights, machines, curlbar, smith machine, assisted pull-ups. You don't need a specific program or a pricey trainer. If you have specific injuries or concerns, you would be better off with a few sessions with a physical therapist to work through those issues and then start lifting. Go slow, start light, and move some weights around.
