DS’s 13th birthday is coming up. I would like to get a lot of balloons and backdrop to take pictures. Not sure if his friends are going to be into that.
Can you recommend favors? I was thinking something edible. |
|
No, 13 yo boys are NOT going to be into that. What does your kid say about that idea...?
As for Candy - this age likes those chewy nerd ball gummy clusters https://www.amazon.com/Nerds-Chewy-Candy-Video-Ounces/dp/B07NHQV6RV/ |
| NO. He's turning 13, not 3. |
| I'm sure you can get at least a few pictures of the group. My 16 year olds still had no problem with this. I don't think you're going to get much more than that. |
| For party favors, get bags and fill them with candy, popcorners, gum, chocolates. |
| No to the balloons and photo idea. Just give them food. Lots of food. Ask your kid what he wants you to buy. |
| I’ve got 3 teenaged boys, youngest is 13, and I wouldn’t recommend balloons/backdrop or favors. Just give them something to do and feed them. My oldest was immature and I probably would have done this for him just b/c I would have been indexing off the kid I had, but my youngest - who is markedly different, largely as a byproduct of having older brothers - would be very embarrassed. |
| I don't think teenage parties have favors - that is more for little kids. Just have plenty of food/snacks/candy for the party |
| You could provide colored construction paper for them to make paper airplanes. Rubics cubes for party favors. |
|
Rubik's cubes are a good idea but kids this age likely already have them.
Better to give something edible that doesn't clutter the parents' house. |
| No no no |
| No balloon backdrop. OMG |
| They don't need favors. Just buy lots of food. |

| No to the balloon idea and 13 year olds don’t do party favors. |
