Capital women’s Care Test Results

Anonymous
I went to CWP for my annual and they have a whole new portal system that I saw my chart in but now I just got pinged about a test result in Quest. Accessing tests in a portal gives me major anxiety-I know I need to get over this fear. What is this? The Pap smear result? The result of the DRE? I guess I’ll check but have been going to the gyn for years and haven’t had a test result come directly to me (except hcg results when pregnant). They just mail an all clear letter usually.

it is prob just the report generated online, however CWP portal system is awful.

Mine never is updated.

I got pinged from Quest directly. So they’re telling me a test result before it’s even showing up in the CWP portal and yes I hate their portal. They switched over to something new so now I can’t even get any of my old records.

Meant CWC

CWC told me that they will call if there is anything concerning about the results. If it's just in the portal with no call that means everything is fine.

It’s not in their portal (yet). It’s in Quest’s. Which is weird. Quest must have matched it up by DOB.

CWC’s customer service is really poor.

This is not abnormal. Quest and Labcorp do the same thing. I always get results from them before I get notice from my Dr’s office.

Personally I choose to ignore test results until my provider has seen them and posted a comment. I run a bit anxious and I am not a doctor so I don’t want to read things I may not fully understand. A few years ago I opened blood labs before my doctor had seen them and got myself worked up about a couple of out of range results.
