Retake a course

If a child gets a C for one semester of a class, is it possible to retake the class and replace the grade?

A friend was saying that there is some online program that a kid can do. Does anyone know? This is for pre-calculus.

Different poster. If a student has enough credits, can they retake a course during regular school year?

When you retake the course, I know the new grade replaces the old grade, but does the transcript make it clear that you took the course twice?

to 21:15, I believe the course will be listed twice. Once with no grade and one with a grade. We had to fill out a form requesting which grades to be on the transcript, as it was not automatic a couple of years ago.

My kid retook Spanish 2, even though he had an A and a B for the 2 semesters, because it was clear he learned nothing when getting to Spanish 3. He removed the A and B, and replaced them with A and A. He took Spanish 3 the next year and called it "done" then. I think he got 2 Bs for the semester grades there.
