Who can recommend Vitex (for return of ovulation)?

Background: I stopped breastfeeding my daughter at 14 months. Got my period back when she was 13 months old. I've had my period every month, but don't know if I'm actually ovulating. My charting this month, for example, looks like an annovulatory chart (no temps over 98 degrees). OPKs show an LH surge, but I've had pretty random results with those tests. The kicker is that I STILL have milk in my breasts, and suspect I may have high prolactin levels, which is preventing me from ovulating. (I got pregnant with my daughter almost right away at age 35, so clearly something is up.)

Question: I have read that Vitex (herbal supplement) can help bring back ovulation. Has anyone tried it, with success or no success? I have an appt with my OB/Gyn, but it's not for several weeks, so I dont want to wait on the Vitex if it seems helpful. Thank you!
