area rug help?

| Hi - I'm totally stuck searching for an area rug for our living room and would appreciate specific suggestions. I'm looking for: 6x9, soft, low-pile, patterned enough to hide small stains, and looks good with an burnt orange couch in the price range from around $300-$850. Any specific links? I feel like I've searched around and can't find what I like. TIA! |

| Have you considered asking a carpet store to cut you a length of carpet? This used to be done and they had a way to seal the edges against fraying. Then you would have a lot of colors to choose from, potential swatches, etc. Not sure about patterning, but maybe a multicolored yarn would help hide stains? If you got a really high grade of carpet it would have excellent stain resistance against coffee, soda, pets, etc. |
