I know most club teams move to LC pools and have morning practice to accommodate summer school, lifeguarding, jobs etc
Does your 13/14 or 15 and over club swimmer have doubles in the summer and what time is that double? Thx! |
13 year old swimmer just has morning practice during LC season. No doubles.
A lot of club coaches are also coaching summer teams. |
15 and over? |
My 17 yo swims in a club group that is only 9 months, so it ends just as summer swim starts.
Most of her summer teammates in 11 month club groups do one or the other each day. The older kids mostly go to club practice in the morning then show up to the pool later to coach. Once, maybe twice, a week they’ll come to summer team practice especially if it’s relay or game day. |
Most of the HS aged club swimmers aren’t actually practicing with the summer team, they are mostly acting as junior coaches. |
OP here thank you!! |
Doubles are not a thing in summer during LC for groups. They go to club practice in the morning and then work. |
My swimmer is an NTG and swims LC in the AM and a few doubles in the afternoons, I think Monday and Wednesday. They work inbetween as a lifeguard at a different pool. |
Same as PP, NTG swims LC 4 mornings per week, and two afternoons. Swims SC 2 mornings a week. |
Our NTG group swims 5 mornings and 2 afternoons M-F. I know other sites also practice Saturday mornings before their summer league meet. |
Thank you! |
My swimmer only does LC. She might make one summer swim practice a week if her schedule allows. |
