Einstein SAT Cancelled for March 9

Just a heads up for anyone whose child was scheduled to take this. No explanation as to why it was cancelled. Anyone have any ideas?

And just past the registration deadline to get into another site. The next day it will let you register for is May.

They are not even letting my kid switch to a different site for March 9. I believe Wheaton was also offering it. That is just not an option.

Same issue with my kid.

According to the Einstein Counseling office, the school is no longer administering the SAT on March 9.

College Board is unable o runwilling to re-register students for Mach 9 since their deadline (yesterday) has passed.

Has anyone had success in re-registering?

Can your child take in school?

Not all schools offer the SAT.

Even for the May date, there are only a few sites in MoCo.

Is it still offered at Wheaton on Mar 9?

Were they able to give you a reason? This is super last minute.

Seems like somebody at Einstein messed up and they don't want to out the person. I bet it's a scheduling conflict that should've been caught earlier but wasn't.

The theater troupe is doing Beauty and the Beast on that day. But that is not until 7pm. Shouldn’t interfere with an AM SAT.

I wonder how many kids were taking it and it’s unfortunate that aren’t offering an alternative.

Why does it matter? Aren't most schools test-optional?

If a student was scheduled for the SAT in 10 days - they probably prepped. Maybe paid for a test prep class or tutor.
Maybe they need the scores for a scholarship.

To the kids who were planning on taking the SAT at Einstein - it matters.

No actually. Many of the schools that went test-optional are reversing course and asking for SAT scores.

Also, some students choose to submit scores even when college say they are ‘test-optional’.

And test optional is not test blind...they note that you did not submit scores and assume you did not have a top score.
