| I used to get my hair cut in DC but I’m looking for something closer to home. Any recommendations for a salon/stylist that takes the time to listen, and make individualized recommendations? Not too trendy or too geared towards old women. I have straight thick dark hair that I’m transitioning to let grey naturally. I’m mid-40s and neither want to be frumpy or like I’m trying to look like a social media influencer. |

Bump.
Just one more plea for a recommendation to the wise denizens of DCUM before this post dies. Thank you! |

| Salon Nader in Wildwood. |
| Salon Nader and Bella Bethesda are both good |
| franz sebastian salon on elmo ave. |
| I go to Bella Bethesda, but honestly, you need to look for the person and not the salon. I went to Bella's instagram page and looked through the stylists pages. I have been with my guy for a few years and love him! |

Shop Salon, DK specifically.
One to avoid: Bluebell. Had a terrible cut/experience here. |
| Thank you everyone for the recommendations! I have an appointment at Salon Nader this week and I'll report back. |
How was your experience at Salon Nader? |
| If possible, can you also report how much you're being charged and for what? |

| I have never been but people rave about Plain Jane salon in Bethesda. |
| Can you give us a report back? What did you think?! |
