What’s up with all the “new driver” stickers?

They are suddenly everywhere! & 8 times out of 10 they’re adults.

Yeah, I started noticing this a couple years ago but it keeps expanding.

IME: crap drivers hoping their little sticker will buy them some forgiveness.

Not from me.

Larlo needs a little extra time and space. And let’s be honest, he’s probably stoned on mom’s edibles half the time he’s driving anyway.

My teenager wanted us to get the magnets for our car while she was learning how to drive because she thought other drivers would be more patient with her. DH and I both put them on our cars until she got her license.

My daughter was the one driving whenever she was in the car, but I didn’t take the magnet on and off based on when she was the driver.

We just put one on my car! My kid got their permit but it’s my car, and I don’t remove the magnet when they’re done practicing. It stays on.

I think I might get one of these - it might help as I do my normal "spirited" and "assertive" driving, lol

As a joke?

They are not effective because so many just look like the parent driving, so everyone ignores them.

Ours says “Student driver and screaming parent.”

It won’t stick on the back, argh, no magnetism, so we have to put it on one side. We don’t keep it on when DC is not driving.

Lazy people who want an excuse for their shatty driving.

I think folks forgot there was a mini baby boom from 06-08, so that’s probably why.

Agree. So annoying. Especially the stickers that start with “Be Patient!”

No sticker, you’re not the boss of me.

My teen wanted one. And I don’t take it off every time she’s done practicing so it’s on when I’m driving. It’s not a big deal

I grew up in England where an L ( learner) magnet was required by law if a learner was driving. Should be required here too..

I’ve never cared about them until I had a driver doing logical but stupid things and then I saw it and realized what was happening (I.e stopping for a school bus on the other side of a divided road)
