Edina is the outlet mall version of the Upper East Side.

But you’d be in Minnesota. Hard pass.

Imagine paying over $1M for a house in MN. Whut.

It's more like the outlet mall of Summit. To me it has nothing in common with Upper East Side!
I did grow up there. Well and Minneapolis proper.
To me, this price is high high. Country Club neighborhood is arguably the nicest area of Edina but Arden is a bit on the outskirts of the neighborhood.
Interesting though, thanks for posting!

We’ve considered looking outside the DMV area for other places to potentially live. Any close in suburb with good schools that have a little walkability is over a million dollars plus. This includes places like Charleston, Raleigh, Minneapolis, Scottsdale etc.

We have family in MN so keep a filter on homes just in case.

What would you call Arlington?

I’d be suspicious why the sellers are trying to dump this not even a year after buying. Overall it has a strange sales history, seems like it has been sitting on the market a lot in past 10 years

Every city has upmarket areas where $1M+ is the going price for nicely updated UMC housing stock. And it gets even more expensive.

It’s very surprising MN and all of those cities were affordable few years ago.
