Can anyone recommend a wetsuit-type top and shorts that I can use at an indoor pool?
I’ve been getting cold very easily due to a chronic illness. |
Google "swimskins." A number of reputable brands make them (Roka, Blueseventy, etc.). |
Lands End has great swim shorts. They look more like regular shorts than wetsuits, so you can wear them around town in the summer. They have multiple lengths. |
I don't think these supply any warmth. I don't find long shirts keep you warmer in the pool at all. I think you should look for neoprene OP. Something made of wet suit material is most likely going to help more with warmth. |
I was a competitive swimmer and was used to do lengths. The first couple of laps were cold then I was fine.
I decided to try deep water aerobics. The class was so slow that I was freezing. I got out early and got a refund for the rest of the classes. I think the pool was colder because it's where the serious swimmers train. The class was also just too slow. Maybe find a warmer pool or a more energetic class. |
