Any AAU basketball teams with tryouts coming up?

My kid 12U is a borderline kid. He is good but not that good. He has gone to a few tryouts and has not made a team. He may just not be good enough. We are fine with pay to play.

Are there any teams still with tryouts?

I was talking with a friend and she said that many of the teams are already full and they hold these tryouts just to find one or two really good players.

I think St James hasn’t held tryouts yet and teams are essentially entry level travel/ rec plus. It falls into the pay to play category but we know several kids that belonged to teams and had very good (paid) coach but they had a dud before him.
