Compression Fractures

My mom has severe osteoporosis and went through a period where she had fractures 3 separate times - once from a fall and the rest from seamingly nothing - trying to open a window, etc. Those times she had severe pain and trouble walking so went to the ER and for one of them a skilled nursing facility as she lives alone and needed help. She got kyphoplasty once. 3 years later and it seems like she had another fracture as she is experiencing pain, but not as severe as other times. She's using a back brace and aspercreme and tylenol. She needs help around the house with lifting things, groceries, taking out trash, etc. I'm hoping the pain doesn't get more severe and that it just heals. She gets a reclast infusion once a year.
Has anyone been through this with a parent? Is this just going to keep happening? And will it get worse at some point to the point she can't live independently? |

| Certainly could be the case. Should she get imaging done to see if it’s a fracture and she could get another kyphoplasty? |
