My 11 year old girl is thinking about trying field hockey in the fall. She has never played and I know nothing about it. She is super tall.
Is field hockey a good sport for tall kids? Will she have an advantage or disadvantage? Thanks! |

Field hockey girls come in all shapes and sizes. There are some advantages to being tall, like having a particularly long reach, but it isn’t like basketball where it can be hard to be successful if you aren’t tall.

| There are both advantages and disadvantages to being tall. Just like there are advantages and disadvantages to being short. Let you daughter try it. |
