any experience with internal window

I'm about to extend a wall that's going to block light from a window. Has anyone put in an internal window, is it costly? Where can you get them?

Builders can put a plate of glass in; you don't need a prefab window. It's not very expensive - there's no weatherproofing or such. They just build a framed box of a certain size, and use some wood trim to hold the piece glass in place. No glazing putty needed unless you want it for cosmetic/cleaning purposes.

Yep.

If you're flexible about the size, it's often cheaper to go to a home center and buy a standard size door or window with the size glass you want, take the frame off and discard the frame.
